Boston Hills, Mountains in Las Cruces and Chino Mine. Bayard waterfall

Boston Hills are where the original silver discovery took place that made Silver City, Silver City.

Mine tailings from magnesium mines.  Silver City owns this land and you can hike through the mines

Open pit mine

Drill stuck in the side of the rocks

Mountains of Las Cruces

Chino Mine in Silver City.  Chino is a giant open pit copper mine.

The colors of Chino mine.  Its beautiful and tragic at the same time.  While it eats a mountain it builds one.

Old mine across the street from Chino

Bayard, New Mexico which is 10 miles from Silver City.  In the middle of the photo below mid way down the first mountain you can see the waterfall.  This is the middle of the desert and a waterfall.
