First Silver City outing and thunderstorms

Today it rained.  The locals say it is the first rain of the year so far.  I told Pam to go out and watch it as it is something the locals celebrate and we will probably not see rain again till about June when the rainy season starts.  Scouted Silver City

A little rain makes the semi-arid landscape wake up and bloom.

We found two more possible rental homes here in Silver City to look at tomorrow.  So, that makes four that we'll be scoping out tomorrow.  Nice to have options : ) and less worried about finding somewhere to live by 20th!  Getting a bit of a cold snap here with temps going down to 40's at night and bout 65-70 during day.  Feelin a bit chilly compared to Tybee! We're thinkin the Summer months will change that! Welcome to the mountains of the southwest.  If we want to be hot (and dusty) we can go down to Deming : ) not.
