Day two of driving across Texas. Went from green flat plains to semi-arid mountains today. Made it to Odessa which is in the oil fields. About half way to Odessa we drive through Sweetwater TX, near Lubach. It has to be the wind farm capital of the world. There had to be tens of thousands of wind turbines. We also drove past Stinky Creek and Blackland, TX. Tomorrow we should make it to New Mexico! We have 340 miles to go! Driving going well.
Massive Wind Farms |
We drove past lots of Blue Bonnets, but none were planted at the picnic areas. Didn't want to pull over in 75 mph speed limits to get photo. Considered taking a picture of some on-line, but that'd be cheating. Stay tuned, maybe we'll find some ahead.

Getting closer to El Paso, which is about 45 miles from Las Cruces, NM |
